How to convert HEIC to PNG

  1. Choose your photos, or drop them anywhere on the page. You can add a whole folder.
  2. Each photo is converted straight away on your device. There is no button to press and no upload to wait for.
  3. Download one photo, or all of them as one ZIP.

Why convert HEIC?

iPhones save photos as HEIC to use less space, but many websites, government portals, print kiosks and Windows apps can’t open them. PNG is lossless, so it suits editing and documents, although the files are much larger than JPG.

Quality, colours and photo details

PNG is lossless, so there is no quality setting. Date and camera details are kept, and location is removed unless you turn the switch off.

iPhone wide-colour photos are converted to standard sRGB, so they don’t look dull on other screens. Live Photos convert as a still photo; the motion isn’t included.

You can also save as WebP or AVIF where your browser can create them. If you need a certain file size, use the Resize to KB tool after converting.
