Common reasons a visa photo is rejected
- The face is too small in the frame; it should fill most of the picture.
- The photo is older than about six months or does not look like you today.
- The background is patterned, coloured or shadowed instead of plain white.
- The head is turned or tilted rather than full-face.
- The file is too heavy or too light, or was heavily filtered or retouched.
